About Aging & In-Home Services

Aging and In-Home Services of Northeast Indiana, Inc. (AIHS) is a private, not-for-profit social service organization serving seniors and persons with disabilities of all ages since 1974. AIHS was designated by the state of Indiana as the Area Agency on Aging for northeast Indiana serving nine counties: Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, LaGrange, Noble, Steuben, Wells and Whitley.

The mission of AIHS is to promote dignity, independence, and advocacy for all older adults and persons with disabilities

AIHS programs include case management, home delivered and congregate meals, family caregiver support and preventive health.

ll services are provided without regard to race, age, color, religion, sex, disability, national origin or ancestry.

AIHS is accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA). COA accreditation attests that an organization meets the highest national standards and is delivering the best quality services to the community it serves.

  • Medicaid Waivers
  • Social Service Block Grant
  • Community and Home Options to Institutional Care for the Elderly and Disabled (CHOICE)
  • Private Pay
  • Foundation Grants
  • Other Public and Private Donations
